M168 Rural Work, Thailand

The River partners with rural community leaders in Thailand and South East Asia, to assist them to identify and meet their felt physical, social, environmental and spiritual needs.  Through this, the River builds thriving groups of people whose lives have been transformed by a dynamic relationship with Jesus and who are committed to bringing similar transformation to others.

Identified needs include but are not restricted to: reducing drug and alcohol abuse, reducing gambling addiction, reducing violence, reducing the injury and illness and improving the income streams of individuals and communities as well as their ability to identify community issues and formulate and implement strategies to overcome their own challenges. The outstanding spiritual poverty is a priority need. The bondage of spirit worship and its effect on the people’s physical,  social, environmental and spiritual health is dramatic.
